Eric Babak

Eric Babak (born August 3, 1970 in Brussels ) is a Belgian musician , pianist and composer .

biography

Eric Babak started playing the piano at the age of five. His teachers included Roger Pillebou for classical music and Paul Schwarz for jazz . At the age of 19 Babak had his first worldwide release with transcriptions by the Blues Brothers . During this time he also received his first offers to compose for television stations.

Babak lives in Cyprus in the Greek part.

Work

• He wrote the image music for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi .
• For the panorama artist Yadegar Asisi he composes all the soundtracks for his Panometer exhibitions. Resulting soundtracks: Rome 312 (produced with a 60-person choir), Berlin Die Mauer, Dresden 1756 , Dresden 1945, Mount Everest 8848, Leipzig 1813, Panorama Sensation 2011 in Berlin in the Pergamon Museum of the ancient city of Pergamon , Amazonia, Great Barrier Reef , Rouen 1431 Jeanne D'Arc, Martin Luther 1517 in Wittenberg, Titanic and Carola's garden.
• In 2008 he composed, produced and orchestrated the soundtrack for the film Die Eylandt Recherche with the Russian State Cinema Orchestra Moscow and the State Academic Choral Chapel of Russia Choir in the Mosfilm Studios in Moscow.
• Babak now has around 200 theme music (Future, Miss Germany, Internet Oscar, Blitz, Avenzio, Pariser Platz, Mardi theme, Swisscom Cup anthem, Mao theme evening, Spika TV, Bravo TV, Stan Becker, Fieber, CYBC theme for "Europe News") , Sat.1 film, film, talk of the week, women heroes, roses from the ex, everyone against everyone, ProSieben Filmfieber, Zacherl Just Cooking, Super Bingo, Greif ab, Efda Deka etc.).
• He has also written over 1000 station design elements and around 200 commercial music (Woolworth, Mitsubishi, Hilfiger etc.).
• Sat.1 station design and its audio logo responsible since 1996
• Responsible for N24 station design and its audio logo since 2003
• Additional score for the German cinema film: Im Weisse Rössl (2013)
• He created around 2000 arrangements and transcriptions for the publishers Warner Music Group , Bosworth, Music Sales and IMP . • For Europa Park Rust, he composed and produced the music and sound design for the Moulin Eurosat Cancan Coaster in 2018. A cooperation between the Moulin Rouge and Europa Park. For this he arranged and produced the classic roller coaster "In a Second Orbit" with orchestra and choir. Mixed by Sam Okell (Grammy Awarded) and Mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studio in London.
