Eric Winter

Eric Barrett Winter (born July 17, 1976 in La Mirada , California ) is an American television actor and former fashion model .

Life

Eric Winter was born in July 1976 in La Mirada , California , and grew up there as the son of Wayne Winter and his second wife Gwen. He has a half-brother named Robert W. Winter (* 1962) from his father's first marriage. His cousin is Anney Tesloyn Gomez, a choreographer and singer. He went to Los Altos High School and later graduated from UCLA . He graduated there with a degree in psychology .

In 2001, Winter married actress Allison Christine Ford, but they divorced in 2005. In November 2008 he married the actress Roselyn Sánchez , with whom he had been in a relationship for two years. Their daughter was born in January 2012.

Career

Model career

Eric Winter started out as a model at a young age. He has had some high profile campaigns, such as for Tommy Hilfiger . In 2004 he starred alongside Britney Spears in the TV commercial for Spears' perfume Curious .

Acting career

In addition to his modeling career, he began acting in 1999. He was first seen in several guest appearances before he became known as Rex Brady in the daily soap Zeit der Sehnsucht in July 2002 . He played this role until July 2005. He also appeared in guest roles in the television series Charmed , Love, Inc. and CSI: Vegas until 2007 . He received his first leading role in 2007 as Peter Carlyle in the short-lived television series Viva Laughlin . In the same year he had a story arc each in Wildfire and Brothers & Sisters .

In 2008 he got the role of Colton Graham in Harold & Kumar 2 - Escape from Guantanamo and the supporting role of Benjamin Talbot in the CBS television series Moonlight . The following year, Winter starred in the romantic comedy The Naked Truth . From 2010 to 2011 he played the role of Craig O'Laughlin in the crime series The Mentalist . Until 2013 he was seen in other guest appearances in television series such as CSI: Miami and Rizzoli & Isles as well as in the feature film Fire with Fire - Revenge follows its own rules . He played a supporting role as Luke Lourd in the short-lived television series GCB .

In June 2013 he replaced Patrick Heusinger in the Lifetime - Mystery Series Witches of East End . Winter played in it from October 2013 to October 2014 the leading role of the wealthy doctor Dash Gardiner , the fiancé of Jenna Dewan's series character Freya Beauchamp .
