Witches of East End is an American mystery series based on the bestseller of the same name by Melissa de la Cruz. The television series with Emmy Award winner Julia Ormond in the lead role was produced from 2013 to 2014 for the television channel Lifetime . She tells the story of a witch who has to reveal to her daughters that they come from a family of witches. It premiered in the United States on October 6, 2013, following Drop Dead Diva on Lifetime.
In November 2014, the series was discontinued after two seasons.
action
At first glance, the Beauchamp family looks like any other. But Matriarch Joanna and her sister Wendy are witches. Joanna hides this from her grown daughters Freya and Ingrid, who have been endowed with magical powers since birth. Freya and Ingrid always die between the ages of 20-30 after they discover their witchcraft powers and are reborn. However, this time Joanna has the hope that the two will have a long life.
Freya is a fun-loving young woman who works in a bar and has just become engaged to the wealthy playboy Dash Gardiner. But she is also drawn to the enigmatic Killian, Dash's brother. Ingrid, on the other hand, is shy and reserved and works as a librarian.
One day, Wendy turns up unexpectedly and brings her sister a warning. This warning forces Joanna to tell her daughters the truth: They are immortal witches. The idyllic life in the Hamptons is over, because an ancient enemy in the form of a shapeshifter wants to wipe out the Beauchamp family forever. So it's up to Freya and Ingrid to save their family and friends.
