Erich Kunkel (born February 23, 1962 in Gemünden am Main ) is a German author and teacher of Latin , Greek , philosophy and ethics .

Life

After attending the humanistic branch of the Frobenius grammar school in Hammelburg , he first studied in Würzburg , later in Tübingen and Oxford, the subjects of classical philology , history and philosophy . He received a highly gifted scholarship . After he began to pursue the sport of triathlon in 1983 as a compensation, he founded the Würzburg Memorial Run in 1995 in memory of the escape of the Würzburg people after a bomb attack on March 16, 1945 . The route runs from Würzburg to Gemünden, forty kilometers away, to which some people fled in 1945.

In 2005 he began his legal traineeship to become a high school teacher. From 2007 to 2013 he taught Greek, Latin, ethics and later philosophy at the Johann-Michael-Sailer-Gymnasium in Dillingen an der Donau until he started at the Ernst-Mach-Gymnasium in Haar near Munich at the beginning of the 2013/14 school year changed. Philosophy and Greek are currently not offered there.

Activity as an author

After writing texts on family occasions, Kunkel began writing essays in English during his studies at Oxford in the mid-1980s . He writes under various pseudonyms , especially Hilarius Fanton , which is composed of the Greek word hilaros (happy) and a mixture of phantom and Anton . The subject area of ​​the works is broad and includes, among other things, the real estate, banking and financial crisis, the dangers of socialism , totalitarianism today as well as reflections on terror, war and peace around the statement “Who sows weapons , will reap war .” His books appear in various publishers , u. a. Narthex book in Bamberg.

Works

Kunkel's most important work is the Sie-Er series consisting of 110 texts (three novels: Fire Brigade , Football and The Hitler Gods ). Taken all together, he wrote five novels , about 20 dramas and over 50 short stories as well as plays.
