The Erlenwiesen near Ober-Roden are a nature reserve (NSG identification 1438027) in the Ober-Roden district , Rödermark municipality , in the Offenbach district in Hesse . The protected area was designated by ordinance of July 9, 1996. It includes around 14 hectares of forest and meadow.

location

The nature reserve is located in the Messeler Hügelland nature reserve southwest of Ober-Roden, a district of Rödermark. It has an area of 14.337 hectares and consists of forest, meadow and fallow land.

Protection purpose

By placing it under protection, the deciduous forest, reed beds and large sedge communities typical of the Messel hill country as well as wet meadows and creek banks are to be preserved and developed. The biotopes oak, grove and beech forest , black alder , ash and alluvial forest , riparian woodland , individual trees and groups of trees that characterize the landscape, large reed beds , large sedge , the brown sedge marshes and the marsh grass meadows and floodplain communities are particularly protected .
