Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Carl von Eickstedt
Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Carl von Eickstedt (born January 30, 1786 in Stettin , † January 13, 1830 in Anklam ) was a Prussian officer and Pomeranian landowner and politician.
Life
Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Carl von Eickstedt was a son of the district president in Stettin, Georg Friedrich von Eickstedt (1743-1807) and Ernestine Helene Ulrike von Enckevort (1768-1798). He initially embarked on a military career and in 1801 became an ensign in the Dragoon Regiment No. 5 . As a lieutenant he took part in the Fourth Coalition War in 1806/1807. His regiment was used in the battle of Jena and Auerstedt , Dirschau , Preussisch Eylau and Friedland , among others . At Dirschau he and his troops attacked a numerically superior unit under the Polish general Komirowski. For this he was awarded the order Pour le Mérite and in 1809 received the fiefdom of Priemen bei Anklam . In 1810 he took his leave of military service and was promoted to Rittmeister.
In 1812 he was commissioned as Prussian commissioner to lead the French corps of Marshal Louis-Nicolas Davout from Demmin through Western and Western Pomerania .
In 1813 he put together a volunteer unit of 180 men in Anklam, with whom he joined a newly founded cavalry regiment in Stargard . As squadron chief he took part in the Wars of Liberation , including the Battle of Großbeeren , the Battle of Dennewitz and the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig . At Dennewitz he was awarded the Iron Cross, second class. For taking a French fort, he received the Russian Order of St. Anne, second class.
As a major, he took his leave in 1814 and devoted himself to the management of his estate. As district deputy, he represented the district administrator of the Anklam district . He became a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania . He died in Anklam in 1830 after a stroke and was buried in Liepen .

He was married to Wilhelmine von der Marwitz (* October 25, 1791, † November 21, 1818 in Priemen). The two had four sons:
