Ernst Wilhelm Benjamin von Korckwitz (also Ernst Wilhelm Benjamin von Korkwitz) (born April 22, 1744 in Lampersdorf , † January 15, 1802 in Olschowken ) was a German civil servant.

Ernst Wilhelm Benjamin von Korckwitz was the son of Christian Wilhelm Ludwig von Korckwitz (* December 9, 1715; † October 29, 1775), a royal Polish and Electoral Saxon officer of the Guard in Warsaw , heir to Ober- and Nieder-Lampersdorf, march commissioner and landscape director and his wife Juliane Elisabeth (October 15, 1717 in Wammen, Strehlen district ; † May 16, 1756), b. von Wentzky from the house of Wammen. Ernst Wilhelm Benjamin von Korckwitz enrolled on May 26, 1764 at the University of Halle to study law and began his practical work after completing his studies as a trainee lawyer at the War and Domain Chamber Glogau . In February 1773 he succeeded the late Johann Bernhard von Brixen and Montzel (1707–1771) as district administrator in the district of Groß Strehlitz and in this function drew the attention of King Friedrich II . on yourself. After the death of the Oberpräsident Johann Friedrich von Domhardt , by order of January 3, 1782, the Marienwerder War and Domain Chamber and the Deputation in Bromberg were directly subordinate to the General Directorate . As early as mid-1782 he was severely reprimanded by the king several times, among other things because of the arrears in the payment of taxes in West Prussia. On August 5, 1782, it was said that should the Chamber continue to show default, Friedrich II would stick to its director. In the order of November 1, 1782, it was said that Ernst Wilhelm Benjamin von Korckwitz was a stupid devil who did not know the difference between amelioration (improvement) and repairs ; The king added in handwriting: What has the gentleman done in front of a dumb report, he has no common sense. O! asinus asinorum (Latin donkey). On September 16, 1785, he received a reprimand for having made an impertinent account of the recent hail damage in West Prussia. By order of April 22nd, 1786, he was reprimanded for failures in the retablissement of the West Prussian cities.

On September 21, 1786, Friedrich II had died in the meantime, he was appointed President of the Konigsberg War and Domain Chamber, succeeding Anton Gottlieb von der Goltz (1746-1821); Ludwig Friedrich von Domhardt was his successor in Marienwerder .

In April 1791 he was transferred to Marienwerder as President of the War and Domain Chamber, because for East, West a.
