Ernst Arthur Wilhelm Leonhard von Wedel (born October 6, 1844 in Potsdam , † August 10, 1910 in Kannenberg , Saatzig district ) was a Prussian manor owner, monastery governor and politician.

Life

Wedel was a royal Prussian captain and lord of the manor on Kannenberg in the Saatzig district in the back Pomerania . He was also the governor of the Marienfließ Abbey near Stargard in Pomerania . In 1899 he belonged to the provincial parliament of the Pomerania province for the constituency Saatzig (26th provincial parliament ). Also in 1899 he became a member of the Prussian manor house , to which he belonged until his death, on presentation of the old and fortified properties in the Duchy of Stettin .

family

He came from the old noble family from Stormarn , von Wedel , which was first mentioned in 1212 and has been a castle in Pomerania since 1240 , and was the son of the homonymous landowner Ernst von Wedel (1797–1871).

Wedel married Agnes von Bülow (born November 13, 1848 at Gut Hoffelde; † April 3, 1872 at Gut Kannenberg), the daughter of the landowner Hermann von Bülow , on May 24, 1870 at Gut Hoffelde ( Regenwalde district , Pomerania ) . Landlord on Hoffelde, Wilhelmsthal and others (all in the Regenwalde district), and Agathe von Wedel . In his second marriage, he married on June 1, 1875 at Gut Daber ( Naugard district , Pomerania) Anna von Diest (born May 23, 1852 in Elberfeld ; † January 6, 1922 at Gut Kannenberg), the daughter of the royal Prussian district administrator and landowner Otto von Diest , landlord on Daber-Freiheit and Plantikow, and the Meta von Graß .
