Ervin Bevab (born April 9, 1991 ) is an Austrian football player . He is currently under contract with SC Kalsdorf in the third-class Austrian Regionalliga Mitte .

Club career

Youth football

Bevab began his career at the age of six in the youth of his home club FC Oberhofen in the Tyrolean Inn Valley . In 2001 he switched to the larger Innsbruck AC before his family moved their residence from Tyrol to Styria .

In the new federal state Bevab initially joined the youth department of SK Sturm Graz for two years , from 2004 to 2005 he was in the youth team of the Graz AK .

In 2005 another move to the management team of FSA Austria Vienna followed . After only two years in the boarding school in Hollabrunn, he decided to enter professional football and accepted an offer from the newcomer to the first league , SV Bad Aussee . He justified his early departure from the FSA with the fact that it simply would not have worked and he would have had different ideas about the school education.

SV Bad Aussee

On August 17, 2007, he made his debut at the age of 16 in a 0-0 draw against FC Gratkorn for Bad Aussee. As a result, he had to wait for another game until the 18th round before he got a regular place on the defensive of Bad Aussee at the end of the season. In a team that was not suitable for the second division, he then developed into one of the team's few bright spots alongside Daniel Kogler and Adam Cichon . When the team was relegated from the first division at the end of the season, 21 points behind the saving 9th place in the table, the first rumors about his change arose. Among other things, he then negotiated with his former club SK Sturm Graz and FC Red Bull Salzburg . However, when they could not agree on a contract, he decided to complete another year in the first division and signed with FC Lustenau . In addition, at the end of the season he was honored by the Bundesliga as the most used young player with the title Benjamin of the Year .

FC Lustenau 07

In Lustenau, he immediately gained a regular place in the team's defensive department under coach Erik Orie . Overall, however, the team lagged far behind expectations and struggled against relegation throughout the season. As a result, the long-time successful coach Orie was dismissed in the second half of the 2008/09 season and replaced by Nenad Bjelica . Bevab kept his regular place even under Bjelica and just managed to stay in the league at the end of the season with table place 9. He was named "Benjamin of the Year" for the second time in a row .

In the summer of 2009 he was accepted by the ÖFB in Project 12 , the successor to Challenge 08 , an individual development program for the country's greatest talents.

During the winter break of the 2009/10 season he completed a trial training session at SpVgg Greuther Fürth and Bayer 04 Leverkusen with the aim of moving abroad at the latest during the summer break. He had already completed a trial session at VfB Stuttgart during the summer break . In addition, the committed young talent was courted by other German clubs such as Borussia Dortmund (amateurs) or Hertha BSC .

National team

Bevab has previously played for the Austrian U-17 and U-18 national team . He also led the U-18s onto the field as captain. Despite good performance in the club, he has only been nominated for the U-19 national team by team boss Andreas Heraf so far. After the disregard, the Bosnian Football Association also tried to find the player who, due to the origin of his parents, would also be eligible to play for Bosnia.
