Eshetu Wendimu (alternative spelling Eshetu Wondimu ; born October 3, 1986 ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who specializes in road running.

In 2007 he won the Egmond half marathon , set a course record in the 20 van Alphen with 56:52 minutes, came fourth in the Berlin half marathon , seventh in the Rotterdam half marathon and second in the Zevenheuvelenloop . At the Berlin Marathon he accompanied Haile Gebrselassie on his world record run as a pacemaker up to km 30.

The following year he finished second in the Berlin half marathon, one second behind Patrick Makau Musyoki , ninth in the Delhi half marathon and came 13th at the World Half Marathon Championships in Rio de Janeiro . In 2009 he finished third in the Dubai Marathon , seventh in the Berlin Marathon and second in the Delhi Half Marathon.

In 2010 he finished third in the Dubai Marathon, stayed under the one-hour mark for the first time as second in the CPC Loop Den Haag , again beaten by one second by Patrick Makau Musyoki, and won the Berlin half marathon.
