Esther Guerrero Puigdevall (born February 7, 1990 in Banyoles ) is a Spanish athlete who specializes in middle-distance running.

Career

Esther Guerrero took part in the 2007 World Youth Championships in Ostrava and was eliminated from the preliminary round of the 800 meter competition, as well as from the European Youth Olympic Festival a few weeks later.

In the senior class, she qualified for the 2015 World Championships in Beijing , but was eliminated there in the first round . In 2016 she was able to improve a lot and reached the semi-finals at the European Championships in Amsterdam . At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she was eliminated in the preliminary round . At the European Indoor Championships 2017 in Belgrade , Guerrero made it to the finals and finished sixth there. She qualified in the outdoor season for the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated with 2: 02.22 min in the lead . In December she won the bronze medal in the mixed 4 × 1.5 km relay at the European Cross Country Championships in Šamorín, Slovakia .

So far, she has been the Spanish champion over 800 meters three times, indoors and outdoors.
