Esther Hansen

Esther Hansen (born December 18, 1969 ) is a German literary translator .

Life

Esther Hansen completed a degree in Romance , English and German . Today she lives as a freelance translator and editor in Cologne .

Services

Esther Hansen mainly translates narrative literature, including numerous detective novels , from Italian and English .

She is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ.

In 2007 she received a Bode scholarship from the German Translator Fund and in 2009 the young talent award for the German-Italian Translator Award .
