Ettenberg is a village in the market town of Waldhausen im Strudengau in Upper Austria .

The scattered settlement is located north of the village of Waldhausen and northwest of Schloßberg and consists of several locations and individual farms. While there are several compact settlement areas in the south of the village , two wooded hilltops rise to the north towards Dendlreith , between which the Kesserbergerbach flows . In the northern part of Ettenberg is the Lainmühle location , today a sawmill . The border in the west to the market town of Dimbach is formed by the Sarmingbach , which feeds the Waldhausen bathing lake , and the Dimbach .

The history of the place is closely linked to the Waldhausen monastery , which was destroyed several times and lifted in 1792.
