The European elections in Belgium in 1999 were the fifth direct election to the European Parliament in Belgium. She found on 13 June 1999 under the EC -wide 1999 European elections instead. In Belgium, 25 of the 567 parliamentary seats were awarded, one more than in the 1994 election . The mandates were divided between a Dutch-speaking electoral college (14 mandates), a German-speaking electoral college (1 mandate) and a French-speaking electoral college (10 mandates). There was compulsory voting.
