The European elections in Belgium in 1989 were the second direct election to the European Parliament in Belgium. It took place on June 18, 1989 as part of the 1989 EC- wide European elections . In Belgium, 24 of the 518 parliamentary seats were allocated. The mandates were divided between a Dutch-speaking electoral college (13 seats) and a French-speaking electoral college (11 seats). There was compulsory voting.
