The European elections in Luxembourg in 1989 were the second direct election of members of the European Parliament. It took place on June 18, 1989 as part of the European elections in 1989, which took place throughout the EU . In Luxembourg , six of the 410 seats in the European Parliament were awarded using the D'Hondt procedure . The Luxembourg parliamentary election took place at the same time as the election .
