The European elections in Luxembourg in 1984 were the second direct election for members of the European Parliament. It took place on June 17, 1984 as part of the European elections in 1984, which took place across the EU . In Luxembourg , six of the 410 seats in the European Parliament were awarded using the D'Hondt procedure . The Luxembourg parliamentary election took place at the same time as the election .
Result
As five years earlier, the Christian Democratic CSV was the strongest party and was able to secure three seats. The social democratic LSAP experienced strong gains compared to 1979 and thus overtook the liberal DP. This meant that the LSAP had two seats and the DP one seat. No other party was given a seat.
