The European elections in Luxembourg in 1999 were the fifth direct election of members of the European Parliament. It took place on June 13, 1999 as part of the EU- wide European elections in 1999 . In Luxembourg , six of the 626 seats in the European Parliament were awarded using the D'Hondt procedure . The Luxembourg parliamentary election took place at the same time as the election .

Result

The election resulted in almost no change compared to the 1994 election . The distribution of seats was identical to the 1994 election.

The party of Jup Weber, who was elected for the Greens and later resigned from the party, the Green-Liberal Alliance (GAL), clearly missed entry into the European Parliament.
