Theming Night flight over Paris , Moulin Rouge

The Eurosat - CanCan Coaster is the successor to the former Eurosat dark roller coaster in Europa-Park Rust in Baden-Württemberg . The roller coaster opened on September 13, 2018.

Theming

A replica of the Paris Moulin Rouge theater serves as the entrance to the attraction . This is followed by several French-themed rooms in the waiting area, including an area based on the Paris World Exhibition and a Paris studio . In one of the rooms, half covered under a sheet, you can find the old robot from the previous topic (space) as a memory.

Before entering the drum lift , you drive past some absinthe bottles , onto which spark effects are projected with the help of short-distance projectors. In the middle of the reel is a Parisian building facade and a replica of the Eiffel Tower . During the journey, the train passes through several 2D decorative elements illuminated with black light. These were revised by black light artists at the start of the 2019 season.

Furthermore, at the start of the 2019 season, red curtains were hung at the turning point at the end of the journey. There is now also a stage on which the famous Cancan -Tanz is projected. Then you drive through a backdrop of a Paris sunrise with impressive fireworks. Finally, the flight over Paris at night ends in the garden of the Moulin Rouge.

The old version

The old version of the dark roller coaster was opened in 1989 with the theme of space and closed on November 5, 2017 at the end of the summer season. The route layout is the same as that of the new version. This similarity was retained in honor of the co-founder of Europa-Park, Franz Mack. The soundtrack of the former Eurosat was reused in the drum lift.

Valerian (Virtual Reality)

With its redesign, Eurosat received a VR train station that is operated separately from the Eurosat CanCan Coaster. Here the passengers put on special helmets. The station is served by a rotating switch, with the help of which the train can be driven on the normal route of the CanCan-Coaster.

A film based on Luc Besson's movie Valerian is shown during the journey .

The additional attraction has an official travel time of around seven minutes, but this already begins with the so-called pre-show . Depending on the number of visitors, up to two trains are used, which leads to a capacity of up to 210 people per hour.
