History and architecture
The cross-rib vaulted brick building of four bays with an eastern 3/8 end was built in the 15th century. In the two western bays, field stone walls with small pointed arch windows from an older building have been preserved. The walls of the eastern yokes, offset by a round arched belt, are divided by two and three-part windows. The mighty square tower stands on the west side, it is as wide as the ship. Both upper floors of the tower are structured by ogival screens and sound openings. The pointed arch portal on the west side is richly profiled. The neo-Gothic north porch was added in the second half of the 19th century. The buttresses were probably replaced at the same time . The east window was made by Lothar Mannewitz around 1960 , it shows the risen Christ. In the interior, rib vaults rest over consoles. The wall paintings from the 15th century show Adam and Eve.
