Everson Griffen (* 22. December 1987 in Avondale , Arizona ) is an American American football poker players. He plays the defensive end position for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Griffen attended the University of Southern California (USC) and played for their team, the Trojans, successfully college football from 2007 to 2009. For his good performance, he was repeatedly appointed to various selection teams. He achieved a total of 84 tackles and 18.0 sacks .

NFL

In the NFL Draft 2010 he was selected in the 4th round as a total of 100th by the Minnesota Vikings and was used in eleven games in his rookie season. In January 2011, he was arrested within three days for violating the ban on alcohol consumption in public and then for driving without a license.

In 2011, Griffen played mainly in the special teams , where he held various positions, including that of gunners .

In 2012 he was able to achieve his first touchdown and was also a starter for the first time . In the following season he established himself in the team and has been an integral part of the Vikings defense ever since . For his consistently good performance, he was appointed to the Pro Bowl in 2015, 2016 and 2017 .

Following the 2019 season , Griffen pulled a release clause from his contract and then announced that he would not return to the Vikings. In August, Griffen signed a one-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys .
