Evesen is a district of the city of Bückeburg in the district of Schaumburg in Lower Saxony and is located directly on the western border with North Rhine-Westphalia .
Geography and transport links
The district is located northwest of the town center of Bückeburg. The Schaumburg Forest extends to the north . The B 482 runs to the west and the B 65 to the south . The Kleine Aue flows through the village, a junction of the Bückeburger Aue that flows south of the village. The Mittelland Canal passes not far north of the village . The Hanover – Minden railway line , where Evesen used to have a stop , is also part of the town center . To the east is the 65 ha large nature reserve Bückeburger lowlands .
In addition to Evesen with 338 inhabitants, the villages of Berenbusch , Nordholz , Petzen and Röcke belong to the district of Evesen with 3696 inhabitants .
history
In 1939, Petzen, Röcke, Berenbusch, Nordholz and the Höckersau manor district were incorporated, creating the large community of Evesen. Evesen has belonged to the city of Bückeburg since the regional reform in March 1974.
