The Excellence Rhône is a river cruise ship built in 2006 and owned by Swiss Excellence River Cruise GmbH . It operates under the Swiss flag on the Rhône between Lyon and the delta in the Camargue . North of Lyon, the Saône travels to the city of Chalon-sur-Saône in Burgundy .
The Mittelthurgau travel agency is exclusively responsible for sales, marketing and production of the Excellence river trips. Excellence and the Mittelthurgau travel agency both belong to Twerenbold Service AG . Twerenbold coaches bring Excellence guests from boarding terminals in Switzerland directly to the ship and are available for shore excursions during the trip.
The Excellence Rhône was completed in 2006 and has the ENI No. 07001833 entered in the Basel shipping register. In April 2006 she started operations as the first ship on the Swiss Excellence River Cruise.
Furnishing
The Excellence Rhône has 71 cabins, all of which are outward-facing and are 12 to 16 m² in size. The two 18 m² mini-suites have their own private balconies. All cabins are equipped with shower / toilet, satellite TV (flat screen), minibar, safe, hairdryer, in-house telephone, individually adjustable air conditioning, heating and power connection (220 V). The ship also has a spacious foyer with reception, a tour guide desk and a restaurant. The viewing lounge at the bow is equipped with a bar. The Excellence Rhône also has a sun deck and a sheltered, glazed winter garden.
