The FRIMO Group is an international manufacturer of tools and production systems for the production of plastic components , consisting of 15 companies, with headquarters in Lotte near Osnabrück .
Company history
In 1962 Fritsche Möllmann GmbH & Co. KG was founded as a supplier of foaming tools for polyurethane processing and model making in Bohmte in the Osnabrück district . After expanding the company and increasing its workforce, the company moved to its current location in Lotte in 1969.
In 1990, an American subsidiary was founded near Detroit ( Michigan ). In 1991 FRIMO expanded its business activities to Southeast Europe . First, an aluminum foundry was taken over in Budapest and a little later a model making company was founded in Hungary . In 1993 FRIMO founded a fixture construction company in Mór, today the headquarters of FRIMO Hungary Kft. In 1995 FRIMO took over Anton Huber GmbH & Co. KG (today FRIMO Freilassing GmbH) and thereby expanded its range of products and services to include thermoforming , laminating and Folding . In the same year, the company received one of the coveted SPE Automotive Division Awards for the first time.
In 1998 FRIMO continued to develop into a system supplier . With the takeover of Schmidt + Link Werkzeugbau GmbH, now FRIMO Sontra GmbH, the technology portfolio was expanded to include punching , pressing and forming. The Polish company SLP is integrated into the FRIMO Group as FRIMO Poland Sp. Z oo ul. With the establishment of FRIMO Control Systems GmbH in Ainring , competence in the field of control technology is also expanded. In 1999 the FRIMO Group GmbH, a holding company for the coordination and control of global business activities , was established in Lotte . Oroszlányi Gépjavító Kft. Was taken over in Hungary and Lyon Industries & Design Inc. was taken over on the American market.
In 2001 the companies FRIMO USA Inc. and Lyon Industries & Design Inc. were merged to form FRIMO Inc. on the growing American market. In 2004, the competitor Heidel was taken over, making it one of the world's largest providers of manufacturing technologies for the manufacture of plastic components for the automotive industry . In 2005 a sales, service and manufacturing location was established in Shanghai . In 2006 the company expanded its range of services to include the areas of plastic joining and automation technology at the new Hamburg location , as well as PUR mixing, dosing and system technology in Lotte. With the takeover of the company bo | parts in Nentershausen (Hessen), FRIMO strengthened its range of services in the field of spare parts production.
In 2010 TechCenter was created for customer service in Lotte and in the USA . In 2012 the 4th FRIMO Forum, an international congress with technology show, took place under the motto “50 Years of Global Competence”. The TechCenter opened in Hamburg in 2013 .
In 2015 FRIMO started with a new location in Puebla / Mexico. The focus is on local service and the expansion of production capacities for FRIMO Inc.
2017 Takeover of the company Bormann + Reinhold. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the FRIMO group of companies. In addition, the establishment of bo parts Inc. in Greenville / Spartanburg, SC (USA).

Range of services
The company offers system solutions for the production of plastic components for numerous plastic technologies. This includes polyurethane processing, flexible cutting, punching , pressing / forming, thermoforming , laminating , folding and joining / gluing , as well as corresponding services such as engineering , project management , prototyping , automation and spare parts production.
Awards
The company received the SPE Award a total of 18 times. In 2009 alone, FRIMO achieved five awards with the Innovation Award as a partner of BMW , two first placements as a partner of the tier 1 supplier Johnson Controls and two further placements among the top 5 at the 2009 presentation.
