Fabián Bertero

Fabián Bertero is an Argentine composer and violinist.

Bertero was a violin student of Fernando Sala , José Carlos Carminio Castagno and Ljerko Spiller and composition student of Guillermo Graetzer , Virgilio Expósito and Lito Valle . He initially played in various symphony orchestras such as the Orquesta Sinfónica de Santa Fe and the Orquestra Sinfónica de Entre Ríos .

Since 1992 Bertero has dedicated himself entirely to tango music. He first played the violin in the orchestras of Osvaldo Piro and Leopoldo Federico . As a soloist, he has appeared with the groups of Osvaldo Berlingieri , José Colángelo , Atilio Stampone and Julián Plaza , with whom he toured Japan, Spain and Germany.

In 1995 he founded the group Fabián Bertero y los Músicos de Buenos Aires , which includes the musicians Horacio Cabarcos , Nicolás Ledesma , Horacio Romo , Diego Sánchez and Edgardo Acuña . With the group he recorded the CD La revancha .

As a soloist and arranger, he took part in events such as the 1st Festival de la Canción "Argentinísima" (1994), the Tango spectacle , una Historia (released on CD) and the orchestral programs La Noche con Amigos and Los Amigos del Tango (both conducted by Carlos Galván ). He traveled through Japan with the Esto es Tango program (also directed by Galván).

In 2001 he worked as violinist and arranger on the album Tangos de Amor by the singer Oscar Pometti , which was nominated for a Latin Grammy . In the 2001–02 season he was solo violinist in the performance of Julio Tahier's musical comedy El Romance del Romeo y la Julieta . He is a member of the Orquesta del Tango de Buenos Aires (directed by Carlos García and Raúl Garello ), the Quartet by Osvaldo Montes and the Quintet by Fernando Marzan , with whose programs Tango Emoción and Tango Seducción he in 2004 a. a. performed in Helsinki, Stockholm, Paris and Vilnius. In 2007 he was nominated for the Premio Clarín Espectáculos .

In compositions such as Vamos Viendo , premiered by the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Policía Federal Argentina , Bertero combines tango with symphonic music.
