Face the Music is the fifth studio album by the British band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO).

background

Face the Music reached number 8 in the US charts and was listed there for 48 weeks. It was the first album that was produced in the Musicland studios in Munich.

The cover of the album shows an electric chair , the three parts of the band's name are shown like a column on the left, in the middle and on the right. On the back there is a yellowish black and white photo of the group, which shows the band members with their eyes wide open in horror (design by John Kehe, photo by Norman Seeff).

The band's line-up and lyrics are printed on the inner cover, as well as a close-up of a hand clawing the arm of the “electric chair” (photo by Fred Valentine).
