Time is the tenth studio album by the British band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO).

background

Time was able to repeat the success of Xanadu and also reached the top position in the German album charts and the British charts . In the United States, the album reached number 16 on the Billboard 200 .

The cover of the album shows a simplified stretch of beach with a drop on which the 'ELO' lettering is depicted (design by Guy Fery). This continues on the back; a title list is printed there.

On the inside cover, the lyrics are printed against a background image of the then modern high-rise complex Hypo-Hochhaus in Munich as well as a black and white group photo with Richard Tandy, Jeff Lynne, Bev Bevan and Kelly Groucutt (photos: Frank Griffin).
