Fadi Saad (born July 25, 1979 in Berlin ) is a German - Palestinian former district manager in Berlin-Neukölln and a police officer.
Life
Saad was born as the eldest child of a Palestinian migrant family in Wedding , West Berlin . Saad grew up in Berlin in a problem area, the Soldiner Kiez . In the secondary school, Fadi Saad experienced discrimination and violence at a young age. Skipping school became the norm early on, so that he failed as a student. He found solidarity and acceptance for the first time when he was 13 years old in the Berlin youth gang “Araber Boys 21”, but at the same time his further decline seemed predictable: fights, frequent acts of violence and delinquency. Only after a stay in youth arrest did he change his life radically: Fadi Saad caught up with his school leaving certificate and successfully completed an apprenticeship as an office clerk . He was employed by the Arab Cultural Institute AKI, where he was soon also employed as a child and youth carer. Since September 1, 2014, Saad attended a police school . He successfully completed this training on August 31, 2016 and has been working for the Berlin police ever since .
Services
Saad worked as a neighborhood manager and street worker in the Neukölln district with young people . In 2006, he accompanied Angela Merkel to the state reception in the Elysée Palace to give a lecture on equal opportunities and integration . In 2008 his book The Big Brother of Neukölln was published and he gave readings.
