Schenker worked for the Swiss Computer Science Certificate (SIZ) as an examination expert for webmasters and for the SAWI as a lecturer for the cultural manager course.

In 2013, Schenker bought the German baroque castle Gleina in Saxony-Anhalt in order to make it accessible to cultural workers and a wider public for cultural projects. He declared the castle a social sculpture in the spirit of Joseph Beuys . Schenker was one of the protagonists in Rebecca Panian's film “To End Life” (2014), as well as in the book “To End Thinking”.

Journalistic activity

Felix Schenker founded ARTTV , the Swiss video platform for culture on the Internet, in 2004, when he was still in his role as gallery owner and head of the Lucerne Photo Forum . In his opinion, the electronic media reported too marginally about culture. His goal was therefore to create a separate channel for the Swiss cultural scene. Since then, together with a team of around 20 video journalists each, he has carried out around 4,500 video reports on Swiss cultural events in his role as managing director and editor-in-chief (as of 2019). Including the last interviews before their death with the clown Dimitri or the fashion designer Christa de Carouge .

In 2015 Schenker launched the e-magazine CLICK. The magazine appears monthly and combines text and video reports. The 50th edition was published in March 2019. According to its own definition, it is "the first multimedia culture magazine in Switzerland"

His photo book about the photographer Lisa Meyerlist , who was one of the first Swiss women to work as a photo reporter, was published by Das fifth Tier . She was best known for her photos of star conductors such as Herbert von Karajan , which she portrayed as part of the Lucerne International Music Festival (now the Lucerne Festival ).

Artistic activity

Felix Schenker was a founding member of ARTURI, the community of interests of Uri artists. The organization existed from 1992 to 2012 and organized several exhibitions in which Schenker participated as a visual artist. Including the exhibition Eja Popeia (2001) in the Haus der Kunst Uri, in which particularly renowned artists such as Peter Fischli / David Weiss , Roman Signer and Josef Maria Odermatt were involved.

In 1994 Schenker switched from active artistic activity to art education and ran the Schenker Gallery for contemporary art until 2004, including the photo forum in Lucerne. He showed around 40 exhibitions, including Rene Burri , Helga Schuhr , Niklaus Lehnherr, Mayo Bucher, Lilian Frei, Jesco Tscholitsch, Al Meier , Gertud Künzli, Alvarez Frugoni, Norbert Hartmann , Brigitte Lademann. A special feature was the exhibition in which he combined photographs by Lisa Meyerlist , one of the first photo reporters in Switzerland, with works by Lucerne surrealist Max von Moos . In the partner cities of the city of Lucerne, Potsdam and Olomouc , he realized major art exhibitions on behalf of the city of Lucerne.
