Ferdinand Zacchi

Ferdinand Zacchi (born August 27, 1884 in Wyk auf Föhr , † September 19, 1966 there ) was a German writer and journalist .

Life

After attending school, he made a vocational training for printers and then started after a few years of traveling in 1911 working as a journalist and was over time as editor- in Suhl , Lübeck , Bordesholm ( Nordic home Verlag ) and Neumünster operates.

In his literary works, Zacchi dealt in particular with northern Germany and the Low German language . In 1916 he and Paul Denker published a warm Christmas greeting from home , before he was the editor of the weekly newspaper Plattdütsche Klock between 1919 and 1941 .

His last book People by the Sea. A North Sea Book of Defiance and Loyalty (1934, 2nd edition 1939) was published by Franz-Eher-Verlag , the central publishing house of the NSDAP .
