Controversy

In July 2012 the exhibition iLux Identities was opened in Luxembourg , which the Luxembourg Ministry of Culture had commissioned from the University of Luxembourg . Fernand Kartheiser expressed criticism of the conception of the ILux and wanted to know "who bears the political responsibility for the heretical statement: Everyone has many identities".

On December 19, 2012, Kartheiser announced his resignation from the party leadership after internal criticism of his politically conservative line on the issues of abortion and euthanasia was voiced. The trigger manifested itself in a pledge of solidarity by the MP with a demonstration by the Pro Europa Christiana Federation in front of Parliament. As a result of internal party disputes about the political identity of the ADR, the MPs Jacques-Yves Henckes and later Jean Colombera resigned from the party. The party thus lost two seats in the Chambre des Députés .

At the same time came Kartheiser for another parliamentary question on CLAE (Committee of Foreign Organizations) in conflict with Family Minister Corinne Cahen , as well as his controversial role as a former double agent on the SREL Control Commission. There is a general problem, according to other Luxembourg parties in the context.
