Fernando Mason

Fernando Mason OFMConv (born January 21, 1945 in Loreggia ) is an Italian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Piracicaba in Brazil .

Life

Fernando Mason joined the Order of the Minorites and was ordained a priest on April 3, 1971 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 3, 1999 as the first bishop of the diocese of Caraguatatuba, established on the same date . The Archbishop of São Paulo , Cláudio Hummes OFM , donated him episcopal ordination on May 1st of the same year ; Co- consecrators were David Picão , Bishop of Santos , and Antonio Vitale Bommarco , Archbishop of Gorizia . As a motto he chose CHRIST FACTUS OBEDIENS .

On May 25, 2005 he was appointed Bishop of Piracicaba .
