Bottrop fire brigade |
The Bottrop Fire Brigade is a municipal authority in the city of Bottrop . It consists of a professional fire brigade founded in 1976 and eight volunteer fire brigades and, as the "fire brigade" department, is subordinate to Department III: "Legal, security and regulatory administration, youth and school administration, citizen's office". Professional fire brigade
The Bottrop fire brigade is headed by the head of the professional fire brigade. It is divided into the areas of deployment, service and prevention and has two fire and rescue stations. In addition to the general administration of the fire brigade, the departments for operational planning, training and further education as well as preventive fire and hazard protection are located here. An integrated control center is also housed here. The construction of a new main station fire brigade is currently being discussed.
During regular operations, the professional fire brigade manned two rescue vehicles , a turntable ladder , a tank fire engine and two swap trucks at the main station . In addition, a platoon leader with a management assistant and an association leader move out from there . Other special vehicles can be used if necessary. During the day, an emergency fire engine and another turntable ladder at the fire and rescue station in Kirchhellen are manned by day duty officials and, after work, by the Kirchhellen volunteer fire brigade.

Ambulance service
In order to carry out the tasks in the rescue service, vehicles of the rescue service are deployed from three locations.
Volunteer firefighter
There are a total of eight volunteer fire brigades, which are referred to as local brigades. These were founded between 1886 and 1940. The volunteer fire brigades in Alt-Bottrop are usually alerted to support the professional fire brigade and are supposed to meet protection goal II. The voluntary local fire brigades in Feldhausen and Kirchhellen, on the other hand, are provided according to the fire protection requirement plan to ensure protection goal I outside of the daytime duty of fire station II. In addition, the volunteers are deployed when the forces of the respective professional fire brigade are tied up at a deployment site for a long time and cannot work on further deployments at the same time. A band of music and a minstrel is attached to the volunteer fire brigade.
Youth and children's fire brigade
The Bottrop Youth Fire Brigade was set up to secure the next generation of volunteer fire services . This consists of five individual youth fire brigade groups.
