Fiestel is a town in the East Westphalian town of Espelkamp in North Rhine-Westphalia . Fiestel has about 1,000 inhabitants and is located in the south of the city of Espelkamp. The head of the village is Anja Kittel (CDU).

Until December 31, 1972 Fiestel was part of the municipality of Alswede in the Alswede district. On January 1, 1973, the municipality of Alswede was divided in the course of the Mittelland Canal. The parts to the south of the canal, with the village of Alswede, fell to the city of Lübbecke, the areas north of it became a district of the enlarged city of Espelkamp as the village of Fiestel.

The Ellerburg , a former moated castle from the 15th century, is located to the west of the village and immediately east of the Große Aue . The Ellerburg Mill, which is part of the Westphalian Mill Road, belongs to the Ellerburg . From a historical point of view, the Ellerburger Wiesen nature reserve also largely belongs to the Ellerburg, but is now almost exclusively in the area of the city of Preußisch Oldendorf .

The place is the headquarters of Naue , the world market leader for geosynthetics in water and transport engineering.
