Filip Trejbal (born January 5, 1985 in Jilemnice ) is a former Czech ski racer . He specialized in the disciplines of slalom and super combined , but occasionally also competed in giant slalom and super G races.

biography

Trejbal competed in FIS races from the age of 16 and has been competing in the European Cup since March 2004 . The first career highlight was winning the slalom gold medal at the Junior World Championships 2005 in Bardonecchia . Two years later, at the Winter Universiade 2007, he again won the slalom, plus two silver medals in the giant slalom and the super-G.

On January 9, 2005 Trejbal started for the first time in a World Cup race. He won his first World Cup points on December 22, 2005 when he finished 22nd in the slalom in Kranjska Gora . His best results so far are two 14th places, achieved on February 9, 2008 in the slalom in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and on December 21, 2009 in the slalom in Alta Badia . He took part in the 2006 Winter Olympics, but retired in both slalom and combination. At the 2007 World Championships in Åre , he started in all disciplines. The best results he achieved was 16th and ninth in the team competition. At the 2009 World Championships in Val-d'Isère , he only started in slalom, but retired after a goal error in the first round. At the 2010 Olympic Winter Games , Trejbal started in all disciplines except in the Super-G. His best result was 28th place in the super combination. At the 2011 World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, he again only competed in slalom. He finished 16th.

Trejbal was particularly noticeable for his heavy metal look - with long hair, a goatee and massive necklaces, which he himself wore during the races. He lives in Rokytnice nad Jizerou .

After the 2014/15 season , Trejbal ended his career.
