Finn and the Way to Heaven is a German tragic comedy from 2012 . It is the directorial debut of Steffen Weinert , who also wrote the screenplay. The film comedy was broadcast for the first time on November 21, 2012 on Südwestrundfunk (SWR) as “Debut in the Third”.

Twenty-six year old Finn Mulzer is on a par with a nine year old boy in terms of intellect and spiritual development. A world falls apart for him when his father Georg dies. Finn's father was his most important support throughout his life, he was his memory and for him his second self. He doesn't even know how to go on living without his father. After his father's funeral, he thinks he will notice symptoms that his father had before his sudden death. Finn believes that he will die on his birthday in six weeks, because both his father and grandfather died on their birthday.
