geography

course

The Flambart generally drains in a north-westerly direction and, after 18 kilometers, flows into the upper Meuse as the first noteworthy right tributary on the municipal boundary between Breuvannes-en-Bassigny and Audeloncourt . The middle section of the river is crossed by the Autoroute A31 ( Beaune - Metz - Luxembourg ) and the main railway lines Nancy - Dijon and Toul - Dijon , the latter using the gently rising valley of the river as a ramp. On its way the river crosses the departments of Vosges and Haute-Marne .
