Flying Volksbühne Frankfurt Rhein-Main

The Fliegende Volksbühne Frankfurt Rhein-Main is a dialect theater founded in November 2008 in Frankfurt am Main . The sponsor is a registered association , the director and artistic director is Michael Quast . For performance are dramas , contemporary plays, recitations and other cabaret performance will be in Frankfurt and Südhessischer dialect.

For a long time the performances took place in different locations. From 2013 to 2015, the Fliegende Volksbühne used the Cantate Hall in the Großer Hirschgraben next to the Goethe House , which has been a permanent venue of the Fliegende Volksbühne since its renovation since 2020. The Frankfurter Volkstheater played here from 1971 until it was closed in early 2013 .

The Fliegende Volksbühne has been sponsoring the Barock am Main theater festival since 2010 .
