Florian Schöbinger (born March 5, 1986 in Mutlangen , Germany ) is a German handball player . His height is 1.92 m.

Schöbinger, who grew up in Alfdorf , started playing handball at TSV Alfdorf after playing soccer before. At TSV Alfdorf he was selected for the HVW selection. In the B-youth he moved to TV Bittenfeld in the summer of 2000 at the age of 17 , where he was immediately used in the first team in the league . With TV Bittenfeld, Schöbinger was promoted to the regional league in 2004 and to the 2nd handball Bundesliga south in 2006 . In 2011 he qualified with the club for the newly founded single-track 2nd handball Bundesliga . At the end of the 2014/15 season he was promoted to the handball Bundesliga with the TVB . In the 2015/16 season , Schöbinger played in the Bundesliga, now under the name TVB 1898 Stuttgart , and scored twelve goals in 26 games.

After 16 years with TV Bittenfeld, Schöbinger left the club in summer 2016 and switched to third division club HC Oppenweiler / Backnang , where he played with his brother Philipp Schöbinger . Schöbinger remained connected to the TVB 1898 Stuttgart as a marketing ambassador. In July 2018, he moved to the United States for professional reasons and joined the San Francisco CalHeat Team Handball Club .

In 2012, Schöbinger won the German University Championship with the Stuttgart competition under Rolf Brack as a trainer in Leipzig .

Schöbinger holds the position as a runner , at Bittenfeld he was initially also used as a backcourt player and in both outer positions. He is also considered a defense specialist .

In 2006 Schöbinger was awarded the sports merit plaque of the city of Waiblingen for special services to sport .

Schöbinger has a degree in business administration from the University of Stuttgart . During his studies Schöbinger also spent a semester abroad in Norway and trained with the local first division club Fyllingen IL in Bergen . During this time he was flown in to important TV Bittenfeld games. After completing his studies, he has been working at Kärcher , the main sponsor of the TVB 1898 Stuttgart, in the strategic sales / product management division since 2014 . Since 2018 he has been working for Kärcher as a start-up scout in Silicon Valley .

Schöbinger has been married since 2018.
