Toxicological data
As far as possible and customary, SI units are used. Unless otherwise noted, the data given apply to standard conditions .

Fluenetil is a chemical compound from the group of biphenyls , which was introduced by Montedison in 1965 as an acaricide .

The now obsolete acaricide was used to control eggs from mites. The area of application was, for example, grain cultivation. It is not approved as a crop protection agent in the European Union or Switzerland .

Fluenetil is metabolized into fluorocitric acid, which inhibits the enzyme aconitase . This leads to the death of the organism via an accumulation of citrate.
