The international airport Husein Sastranegara ( Indonesian Bandara Internasional Husein Sastranegara , IATA : BDO , ICAO : WICC ) is the airport of Bandung , the capital of the Jawa Barat province .

location

The airport is located approximately 5 km northwest of downtown Bandung and covers an area of ​​145 hectares . The civil aviation area is located in the southwestern part of the airport area and at the northern end are the hangars of the state aircraft industry PT. Dirgantara Indonesia . Since the airport area is close to the center, it can no longer be expanded economically. A new, larger airport outside of Bandung is therefore being planned.
