The Michelstadt special airfield is located west of Michelstadt in southern Hesse . It is operated by the Aero Club Odenwald. On the aerodrome are motor gliders , powered aircraft , ultralight aircraft , model airplanes and helicopters allowed.
history
In 1957, the Aero Club Odenwald am Waldhorn in Michelstadt began flight operations with a 400-meter-long grass runway. The first hall was built in the same year. In 1975 the undulating grass track was leveled and paved. Another hangar was built in 1998.
Vielbrunn glider airfield
The Vielbrunn glider airfield with a 680 meter long grass runway is located in the district of Vielbrunn in Michelstadt . The area is located at 465 meters above sea level and is operated by the Mümlingtal Flugsportclub , which has existed since 1969.
