The Mosenberg special airfield is an airfield near Lengemannsau , a district of Homberg / Efze in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse . The airfield on a plateau that slopes sharply to the north and south on both sides between the small and large Mosenberg .
Mosenberg airfield is one of the oldest glider airfields in Germany. Even in the early days of glider flying, considerable hillside performance was achieved here.
The operator of the field is the Homberg / Efze air sports club, which focuses on gliding. The focus of operations is the weekend; Guest flights are then available on request. The canteen is open on weekends. After prior registration with the flight control of the place, hang-glider and paraglider pilots start from the steep slope of the great Mosenberg. Model pilots use the slope flying options a little below.
