Forexx Dutch Open 2008

The Forexx Dutch Open 2008 took place from September 2nd to 7th, 2008 in Amsterdam , the Netherlands . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2008/09 and belonged to the 3 Star category . It was endowed with $ 30,000. The women's tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2008/09 and belonged to the WSA Gold 45 category . The prize pool was $ 53,500.

The men's winner was Nick Matthew , who beat Cameron Pilley in the final with 11: 8, 11: 6, 6:11 and 12:10. Last year's winner David Palmer did not run again. Nicol David successfully defended her title from the previous year, she defeated Natalie Grinham in the final with 11: 9, 11: 9 and 11: 4.

The fields of participants in the men's and women's competition consisted of 16 players each, four of which were reserved for qualifiers. The eight best players were each seeded. Per Wildcard received piedro schweertman a spot in the main draw for the men.
