Forsthof is a district of the Markt Winklarn ( Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Oberviechtach ) in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria and is located in the Upper Palatinate North region .

Forsthof is located in the Upper Palatinate Forest Nature Park , about one kilometer north of the center of Winklarn on the slope of the 585 m high Geißberg.

Neighboring towns are Pondorf in the north, Windhals in the north-east , Winklarn in the south, Hundhagermühl in the west and Schneeberg in the north-west .

history

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Forsthof was listed as part of the Winklarn parish with nine houses and 41 inhabitants. On December 31, 1990, Forsthof had 29 residents and belonged to the Winklarn parish.
