Zengeröd is a district of the Markt Winklarn ( Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Oberviechtach ) in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria and is located in the Upper Palatinate North region .

Zengeröd is located in the Upper Palatinate Forest Nature Park , about 2 km southwest of the core town of Winklarn at the foot of the 622 m high Kulm, about 1 km southeast of the federal road 22 .

Neighboring towns are Untereppenried in the north and Winklarn in the east.

history

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Zengeröd was listed as part of the Winklarn parish with 8 houses and 56 residents. On December 31, 1990, Zengeröd had 40 residents and belonged to the Winklarn parish.
