Francisco Focardi Mazzocchi

Francisco Focardi Mazzocchi OFM (* 9. February 1949 in the Italian Rignano sull'Arno , Province of Florence ) is an Italian priest and emeritus Apostolic Vicar of Camiri in Bolivia .

Life

Francisco Focardi Mazzocchi joined the religious order of the Franciscans in, put the profession on 8 December 1972, received on 18 May 1975, the priestly ordination .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 6, 2007 auxiliary bishop in the Apostolic Vicariate El Beni o Beni and titular bishop of Cenculiana . The episcopal ordination donated him the Archbishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra , Julio Cardinal Terrazas Sandoval CSsR , on September 2nd of the same year; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Ivo Scapolo , Apostolic Nuncio in Bolivia , and Julio María Elías Montoya, OFM, Apostolic Vicar of El Beni o Beni.

On July 15, 2009, he was appointed Vicar Apostolic of Camiri . On August 2, 2017, Pope Francis accepted his early resignation.
