Franck Mailleux (born May 27, 1985 in Saint-Malo ) is a French racing driver .

Career

Mailleux began his motorsport career in 1998 in karting , which he practiced until 2002. In 2003 the young Frenchman switched to the French Formula Renault , in which he was active until 2005. Mailleux achieved his best overall placement in the 2005 season, when he finished fifth in the overall standings with a race win. In addition, he competed in several races of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup during the three years. In 2006 the young racing driver moved to Manor Motorsport in the British Formula Renault and came tenth in the overall standings. In the following winter series of this formula, Mailleux secured the championship title with four wins in four races.

In 2007 Mailleux stayed with Manor Motorsport and made the leap into the Formula 3 Euro Series . With one victory, he finished seventh in the overall standings. In the 2008 season, Mailleux switched to Signature Plus and played his second season in the Formula 3 Euro Series. He won a race at Brands Hatch and was tenth overall.
