Frank Bracht

Frank Belton Bracht (born January 7, 1910 in Idaho , † September 26, 1985 in Burbank , California ) was an American film editor .

Life

Bracht began his career at Paramount Pictures in 1928, moving through various departments. From the early 1940s he worked as an editor and was responsible for the film editing of 50 productions up to and including 1981 . He worked on several films by Melville Shavelson and Martin Ritt .

In 1969, he was for his work on The Odd Couple for the Oscar in the category average Best nominated. The American Cinema Editors nominated him for the Eddie Award. He received his first nomination for this award in 1964.
