Frank Overton
Frank Emmons Overton (born March 12, 1918 in Babylon , New York , † April 24, 1967 in Pacific Palisades , Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .
Life
Frank Overton began acting shortly after graduating from college. He made his Broadway debut on March 14, 1944 in the play Jacobowsky and the Colonel . Since the early 1950s, he was seen regularly on television and in film. He was seen in films such as Life is a lie , Who disturbs the nightingale and Moscow as a target . He also starred in television series such as Perry Mason , Bonanza, and The People at Shiloh Ranch . His last major series appearance was as Elias Sandoval in False Paradises , the 24th episode of the first season of Starship Enterprise . The episode aired a month before his death.
On April 24, 1967, Overton died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the age of 49 . He was buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery . His widow, actress Phyllis Hill , with whom he had a son, died in 1993 and has been buried next to him ever since.
